We’re back with The Body Shop Reviews!

Hey guys!

It’s been a while since I made a Body Shop review, so here I am! I know I’m a little bit late with this because summer is over, but I was too busy to write this review earlier. Anyway our skin needs protection from the sun not only in summer, so I guess it could be still helpful for some of you.

This review is about The Body Shop’s Skin Defence SPF 50 Moisturizer, which is a little bit on the pricier side but I think it was worth the money! I bought the 60ml bottle and I guess this will nearly last forever, because you don’t need that much on your face.

The Skin Defence is a Multi-Protection Essence which protects your skin from UVA and UVB-rays which accelerate the process of skin ageing and can trigger redness and damage to your skin’s surface. The Vitamin C in this moisturizer protects your skin from environmental impacts like air contamination, which can disturb the process of self-recovering of your skin. The Vitamin C plus the red algae extract helps purifying your skin and adds a natural healthy glow.

Enough facts, here are my results: First of all it smells like sunscreen (in a good way!), but it doesn’t feel as heavy as on your skin. It’s a super light product and sinks in very fast. The lady in The Body Shop store said to me that it isn’t enough to put on your skin in winter, so you should put your moisturizer on top, which I also did in summer. I also think the packaging looks very luxurious and I have to admit that I’m one of those girls which are buying things because of their pretty packaging (Please tell me that I’m not the only one). Last but not least I used this on my skin before I went hiking with my boyfriend and he got a little sunburned in the face and I DIDN’T! HA! Who’s the real winner now! 😀

I hope you liked my little review! Tell me in the comments which Body Shop product I should get next and why? 🙂 Would love to have some shopping inspiration!

Joanie 🙂

  1. I always wear factor 50, but I haven’t tried this one, so it was good to read your review. I went to the Body Shop with some birthday money this week and picked up some grapefruit bath bubbles, which I haven’t tried before, as well as the banana shower gel, which I know I like. It’ll be interesting to see what will be coming out for Christmas this year too – the vanilla pumpkin stuff is already back in stock for Halloween!

    1. Hey Kirsty, sounds really good what you‘ve picked up from the body shop! I have to admit I didn’t tried out the bubble baths either! Let me know if you liked it 🙂 I also love the banana shower gel, okay I love the whole banana range to be honest 😀
I‘m also super excited bout the Christmas stuff! Can’t wait till they have it in stock!

      1. Well it smelled great – I love the grapefruit range – but there weren’t many bubbles. The ones in a bottle are better if that’s what you’re after! Did you try the banana body butter? That’s really nice too! X

      2. Oh no, bubbles are an important thing when it comes to a good bath!
I tried the Banana Body Yoghurt, which I really liked! Maybe I should buy the body butter when it‘s getting colder now.. I feel like my skin needs more when it’s getting colder…
