It’s been a while since I made a Body Shop review, so here I am! I know I’m a little bit late with this because summer is over, but I was too busy to write this review earlier. Anyway our skin needs protection from the sun not only in summer, so I guess it could be still helpful for some of you.
This review is about The Body Shop’s Skin Defence SPF 50 Moisturizer, which is a little bit on the pricier side but I think it was worth the money! I bought the 60ml bottle and I guess this will nearly last forever, because you don’t need that much on your face.
The Skin Defence is a Multi-Protection Essence which protects your skin from UVA and UVB-rays which accelerate the process of skin ageing and can trigger redness and damage to your skin’s surface. The Vitamin C in this moisturizer protects your skin from environmental impacts like air contamination, which can disturb the process of self-recovering of your skin. The Vitamin C plus the red algae extract helps purifying your skin and adds a natural healthy glow.
Enough facts, here are my results: First of all it smells like sunscreen (in a good way!), but it doesn’t feel as heavy as on your skin. It’s a super light product and sinks in very fast. The lady in The Body Shop store said to me that it isn’t enough to put on your skin in winter, so you should put your moisturizer on top, which I also did in summer. I also think the packaging looks very luxurious and I have to admit that I’m one of those girls which are buying things because of their pretty packaging (
Please tell me that I’m not the only one). Last but not least I used this on my skin before I went hiking with my boyfriend and he got a little sunburned in the face and I DIDN’T! HA! Who’s the real winner now! 😀
I hope you liked my little review! Tell me in the comments which Body Shop product I should get next and why? 🙂 Would love to have some shopping inspiration!
