This is now our third nomination for an award and we’re just like ???!!!??? OMG ????!!!??? how 😀 Thank you so much Charlotte! You can (and should) check out this kind human’s blog here. And a huge thank you to Jasmine from Just Jasmineella who also nominated us, go show her some love as well! 🙂

The Mystery Blogger Award was originally created by Okoto Enigma. It is named after the meaning of the creator’s name. In her words, ‘there are so many blogs that are still a mystery to us; when we get to know them, it’s divine and we find friends where we least expect’.

The rules:

  • Acknowledge, link back and thank the blog that nominated you
  • Display the award + rules in your blog
  • Mention the creator of the award; provide a link to their blog.
  • Tell your subscribers three things about you.
  • Re-nominate 10-20 people.
  • Notify the nominees via a blog comment.
  • Ask your nominees 5 questions and one funny question.
  • Share links to your best posts.

3 Things about…

S.: I recently started watching animes and now I cannot escape. I used to play the guitar but I always wanted to play the piano. I love video games but I rarely finish them.

J.: I quit playing the piano for a very long time and know I found my love for it again. I’m not the best at playing it, but that’s okay. I recently bought the Violett Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow palette and I love it. I always start to try eating healthy, but after a few days cake and pizza are back again 😀 (Edit S.: Diet starts tomorrow :D)

Charlotte’s questions:

1) If you were going to a desert island and could only take two things with you, what would you take?

S.: A dog and my mum who is not really a thing so… a photo album with pictures of my family and friends?

J.: I really don’t know… I don’t want to go to a desert island 😥 ( 😀 )

2) Coffee or Tea?

S.: Tea always, I don’t like the taste of coffee.

J.: Tea! My heart doesn’t like the effect of coffee anymore 😀

3) What is your favourite book character and why?

S.: So hard, so many books, so much choice. I’ll say Natale from The boy who granted dreams by Luca Di Fulvio. I read that aaaaaaaaaages ago when I was younger and I remember admiring how persistent Natale was in pursuing his dreams and being true to himself. A more known one would be Sansa Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin because the character development yessssssss.

J.: It would be Matt from a trilogy called „Wolkenpanther“, „Wolkenpiraten“ and „Sternenjäger“ by Kenneth Oppel because he’s working so hard for his dreams and always believes in the good in people. And he’s experiencing the best adventures although I’m a little bit scared of the height he’s experiencing them 😀

4) What is your favourite Christmas Film?

S.: How the Grinch stole Christmas.

J.: A Christmas Prince from Netflix (All those romantic feelings…)

5) If you had to change your name what would you change it to and why?

S.: It would be Hannah because I like the sound of it and my mum wanted to call me Hannah originally.

J.: Hey Hannah! When I was a kid I always wanted to be called Jasmin, but since I know my name is coming from Jeanne D’arc I quite like it.

Extra Question: Where you are right now, if you could only take three things with you and you didn’t know where you were going, what would you grab? Quick!

S.: Phone, bottle of water and my glasses.

J.: Phone, bottle of water and my purse. (Edit S.: We are soooo boring :D)

Jasmine’s questions:

1. What goals are you aiming to achieve for your blog?

S.: Meet new people with similar interests, having a possibility for creative output and also have fun with J. 🙂

J.: Uncreatively „Same“.

2. What country do you desperately want to visit?

S.: Japan.

J.: England.

3. Name one moment you would change if you were to re-live it.

S.: 22nd of July 2014. I got on a plane in London to go home and start university in Germany. If I could re-live that moment, I wouldn’t get on the plane. Or even further back: don’t book the flight.

J.: Kind of a chliché but going together with my ex. He was too stupid (Is this ok to write online? 😀 Edit S.: Let’s say he didn’t exactly help to make your life better :D)

4. Whats your favourite piece of clothing that you own/owned?

S.: I have a black t-shirt from Pull&Bear with star signs on it, but the star signs are dinosaurs.

J.: I wish I had this shirt, too! My favourite piece is a black dress with embroidered flowers on to from Zara.

5. Weird one: What would you never name your child and why?

S.: Okay, no offense to anyone who is called Kevin, but I’d never call my child that. Not because I don’t like it, but it has a bad connotation in Germany. It’s the German way of parents saying “I was 16 when I accidentally got pregnant and ever since then my life has gone downhill and I can’t control this child help” and Kevin is literally the name people will use to make fun of the social construct of a child with no manners and no intelligence. Sorry.

J.: Prince and Rihanna! You won’t believe it but I did a internship in a school where two kids were named like that and this is kind of child abuse unless you’re Kevin Prince Boateng or you’re Rihanna in person. (Edit S.: How dramatic 😀 I think again that this is just very unconventional in Germany, people are only starting to give their children English names but to us it seems weird to call others names that either have an obvious meaning to us or remind us of a celebrity for example. It’s also something very young parents tend to do. And while I think ‘child abuse’ is a very harsh was to put it, it’s true that these children will most probably be bullied, confronted with prejudices or getting comments on their names their entire lifes because humanity is… You know.)

Our nominees:

Our questions:

  1. Short or long sleeve pyjamas?
  2. Books or e-books?
  3. Would you rather go on a wild night out or stay in and chill out?
  4. If you were an an animal what would you like to be and why?
  5. Which Harry Potter Character would you choose if you had to marry one?

The weird one: What is your opinion on the inevitability of death? Just kidding 😀 Would you rather have three dogs and two cats or three cats and two dogs? (please explain your choice)

What does “best” posts mean? The most viewed ones? We’ll go with that 😀 The most viewed by far is J.’s review of The British Rose Range by The Body Shop, our Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats recipe and our Some of Our Make-Up Favourites post. However, our favourite post so far must be the English-German Beauty Product Swap we did with Kirsty from Unseen Beauty 🙂
