Blogmas Day 16: The Winter Holiday Tag

Cheeriooooooo, freeeeeeeeeeeenzzzzz!

Today it is tag time, namely Winter Holiday Tag time! We were kindly tagged by Simply Lovely90, thanks a lot for saving us from thinking of ideas for another day of Blogmas! 😀 (she is of course today’s shoutout!)

What is your favourite holiday tradition?

S.: I think my favourite family tradition is that we all sit together and play cards, we don’t have time to do that normally because we’re rarely at home all together at the same time, so I really enjoy that. Also I just love games. But we also have an entire post about our favourite traditions here 🙂

J.: My favourite Christmas tradition is that we visit our two grandmas on Christmas day every year, eating festive cookies, having nice chats and exchange our presents with them! Love the festive feeling at the houses of my two grandmas!

What are your favorite go-to winter lippies?

S.: Definitely the classic festive red lip or a rather berry-toned one which I like to keep up. I’ve always loved Santa Baby by Lush but this year I’ve been going for the Tanya Burr Cosmetics matte lip creams from her little gift set in the shades Santa’s Little Helper and Blackberry Fudge.

J.: Definitely a red one, but my all time favourite is the Tanya Burr Lipstick in pink cocoa! It looks like my natural lips, but a little bit more pinky and nudy at the same time! I love it!

What is your favorite winter scent? (Candles, perfumes, etc.)

S.: I’ve been using the Yankee Candle in Tarte Tatin and the one J. got me from the candle market in the scent Winter Apple and I absolutely love both, so I never know which one I wanna go for.

J.: My favourite winter scent is no perfume or candle. It’s definitely the smell of the Christmas tree and festive cookies in the oven!

What is your go-to winter fashion trend?

S.: I legit do not have one because I am not one for trends. Soz.

J.: warm – just as warm as it’s possible 😀

Your all-time favourite holiday movie?

S.: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. (and others which you can check out in our blogpost on that topic 😀 I am self-promoting and there is no shame.)

J.: The Polar Express

Your all-time favorite holiday song?

S.: There’s nothing better than jamming along to All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey with your friends in the car. But also Blue Christmas and these other ones

J.: All the old remastered ones from Louis Armstrong or Elvis Presley…

Do you prefer to travel during the holidays or stay home?

S.: I would give my soul if I could spend the run-up for Christmas in London. But there is no place like home during Christmas/the holidays, so I’d stay at home. If I had to travel, I wouldn’t go anywhere warm because for me as a German, Christmas has to be cold. 😀

J.: Staying at home, because I’ve to learn for all the exams in january and february 😀

Your favorite winter skin care must-haves?

S.: My bodylotion from Eucerin and lip care by Lush or Balea which is a German brand. But again we have a post on this 😀

J.: A body shop body butter! I’m currently using the vanilla pumpkin one

Your favourite winter hair care must have?

S.: My hair is naturally curly and dry as hay, so I don’t have anything special during winter, I need that stuff all year round and it is any kind of Argan oil 😀

J.: The hair custard from lush. It provides your hair from being electric (wie sagt man das? 😀 ) after taking off your hat. Also the smell is *-*

Your favourite winter activity?

S.: Netflix and tea. But that’s all year round 😀 I love ice skating but I never go fml..

J.: Watching a movie, eating gingerbread and cuddling with my bf 🙂

Your must-have winter beauty product?

S.: Lip balm. Any.

J.: body butter, hand cream, lip balm, … (Do I even have to say more :D)

Do you love the snow or hate it?

S.: Love. Love. Love. Unless it’s February.

One item on your wishlist this year?

S.: okayish mental health Jewelry from Eclectic Eccentricity but I am always so clueless as to what I wish fór.

J.: The Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette!

Your favorite holiday treat?

S.: Any kind of Christmas biscuit.

J.: SAME! And the burned almonds („Gebrannte Mandeln“ in German) on Christmas markets

Holiday shopping finished before December or last minute?

S.: Not before December but early December. But this year I’m struggling for my brother, so I might become a panic shopper 😀

J.: I finished my Christmas shopping on the fourth of december. So I’m done panic shoppers!

We’re tagging Kirsty from Unseen Beauty, Gemma from Wheelescapades and Abby from What Abby Says! Please feel free to do the tag without being tagged but make sure to let us know, so we can check out your answers!

J. & S. xx
